2.1 overview
In this chapter we will know about implementing the glove hardware and
software in the main system.
Our main system consist of Glove which is the heart of the project , the glove
contains these components :
Arduino microcontroller.
Flexible sensors.
Xbee Shield.
Zig-bee.
Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
Arduino microcontroller is responsible for the control function of the
our main system, it's very suitable for our project and help us to
achieve our objects easily.
The flex sensors are the most critical sensors because most letters can
be distinguished based on fingers flexes, one flex sensor is a variable
resistor as the flex sensor is bent the resistance change in an
approximately linear form.
The accelerometer and gyroscope are used for movement and
orientation detection in the three directions X, Y and Z.
Zig-bee is used to connect via wireless with any other subsystems as
Computer or control system.
